Our Story

Deb-N-Roo Labor of Love

From two gardeners to a Northern Colorado sauce table

Deb and Roo have gardened together for more than 25 years. In the first COVID year, 2020, the peppers in their Fort Collins garden became a question: what if all that color, heat and personality could live in a bottle?

The first four answers were Red Hot Mama, Heart of Gold, Bust It Big and Roast It Big. They were experiments before they were products—made by people who had spent years learning that the best food starts with curiosity, patience and a willingness to try one more combination.

The farmers-market years

In December 2023, Deb-N-Roo Labor of Love stepped into the Winter Farmers Market—now Wildcraft—with a folding table, hand-built displays and a growing row of bottles. Timnath and Windsor followed, along with the conversations that still shape the sauces: what people put them on, which flavors surprised them and which test batch deserved to return.

By the 2026 Taste of Fort Collins, that small original lineup had grown into twenty distinct sauces, including eighteen UPC-bearing flavors and two current experiments. The table got bigger. The labels evolved. The reason for showing up did not: meet people, pour a taste and make food more interesting.

Garden roots. Farm partnerships.

The home garden is where the story began, not the commercial source of today’s production ingredients. As demand grew beyond what a home garden could supply, Deb and Roo built relationships with Northern Colorado growers. Today, production peppers come from Native Hill Farm, a certified-organic farm, with other local partners contributing ingredients across the lineup.

Three names, one connected story

Choice City USA is the farmers-market and direct-shopping home of the sauces. Deb-N-Roo Labor of Love is the maker story—the garden history, experiments, harvest art and the people behind every bottle. World Tour Sauce Co. carries the lineup into wholesale and distribution.
