The Sidekick is an aftermarket antenna for the Garmin Astro/Alpha. There seems to be customers that like the metal antennas but they’ve broke 1 or more along the way. There is also a group of customers who like the flexible antenna but not the length. With the Sidekick you get a folding antenna with a shorter flexible whip. Antennas are tuned to give maximum range. Antenna will fold down to fit nicely in a Buzzard’s Roost’s case (not included) as shown in the picture.
