The Ergo Systems 8-Layer Filter is designed for the AutoPetOasis or Waterer. It is guaranteed to prevent algae formation when changed every 6-8 weeks. No other pet fountain filter gives an algae prevention guarantee! Each layer of the filter is specifically designed to address specific water purification issues. There are four nylon mesh layers that alternate with the other layers to filter out solid particles. Two layers have ceramic balls ‘ the first filters out heavy metals, and the last makes the water bioactive. One layer has activated carbon with silver ions to enable reduction of chlorine, remove odors, and enable precipitation of dissolved solids. And, finally, there is one layer that has a stone filter to trap precipitated soids and solids entering from the inlet. No other pet waterer filter goes to this length to clean and freshen the water used by your pets. And, while other filters need to be changed every 2-4 weeks, the Ergo filter lasts two to three times longer, saving you money.
